We brought Luke with us to some of the staff conference sessions. This video was taken with my phone (I apologize for the poor quality) at the end of the final session. Luke is dancing to a worship song, and at the end, he announces, "Yay song!"

Every other year, our organization puts on a conference at Colorado State University for all of the staff in the United States, and the first night is always a fair in one of the parking lots on campus. The last time we went, Luke was only a few weeks old. This time, now that he is over 2 years old, he was able to enjoy more that the fair had to offer. He played on an inflatable playground, rode his first horse (well, pony), and rode on a train and carousel. It was a fun night for all of us. I had a prenatal appointment this week, and it's so surprising that I am beginning the 3rd trimester of this pregnancy! I will start going in for visits every 2 weeks instead of 4. Everything is going well as far as we know. :)
I remember worrying around this stage during my prenancy with Luke because I would go a day or two without feeling any movement in my tummy. It is now a little clearer why that may have been the case, if you know Luke's personality. :) However, this little one enjoys kicking me in the gut several times a day (we've even been able to see movement just by looking at my tummy for the past two weeks or so). During these times, I call the baby a "ninja", and I have no doubt that he will have a different personality than his big brother. :) |
